An AST is the most common type of tenancy if you rent from a private landlord or letting agent. You usually have an AST if:

- the rent is less than £100,000 a year
- the tenant is an individual and is using the property as their main home
Permitted payments prior to the tenancy commencing
(payable to Brown & Brand 'the Agent' or Goodlord our ‘referencing platform’)
Holding Deposit: 1 week's rent (Calculated by monthly rent x 12 divided by 52) Should the tenancy commence successfully; this holding deposit will be offset towards your first month's rent.
